My Least Favorite Chores

I don't enjoy doing a lot of chores; however, I do believe there is a correct ranking and an incorrect ranking. Recently, any chore involving my car has climbed to the top of that ranked list of "Worst Chores."

A few weeks ago, I put off getting gas for so long that my tank hit zero while I was driving to work. Some may find a lesson to learn from that...to never let their tank get that low again. I, however, just shrugged it off and told myself that my car was still able to make it to the gas station.

I also waited months to fill up my tires after the "Low Tire Pressure" warning came up while driving back from Christmas break. While living in Waco, I've used the air compressors at HEB, and let's just say I haven't had the best experiences. Therefore, my tires did not get filled up until March.

Getting gas and filling up my tires may seem like the worst car chores to me until the warning on my car comes up saying I need an oil change. Oil changes fall into the #1 place of worst chores. The thought of driving to Fort Worth, sitting around and waiting for 2+ hours, and then having to drive back to Waco does not ever sound like something I want to do. I've tried to convince my roommates and friends that it would be fun to go to Fort Worth and grab food afterwards, but even they have come to find out that it is really just not that fun.

Chores do have a correct ranking, and I believe oil changes should be placed right at the top of everyone's lists.
