The Chairs of Our Dreams

This year, I moved into a house with four other girls. When the weather was still warm during the fall semester, we would always be envious of our neighbors sitting outside, lounging in chairs, and basking in the warm sun. Making the change from apartment living to house living, there's a lot of miscellaneous house items you don't realize you need to buy until you get there. That meant that our want for outside chairs had to be pushed to the back burner.

Throughout February, the weather started to get warmer, people started to lounge outside, and my roommates and I became even more jealous as we walked around our neighborhood. We started brining up buying chairs more and more in conversation, never quite letting it go like we did in the fall. This weekend when the weather got all the way in the 80s, my roommate and I drove past a store with our dream chairs sitting out front. It was then that we knew we just had to have them.

Now, instead of dreaming of sitting outside, lounging in chairs, and basking in the warm sun, we have been able to sit outside, lounge in chairs, and bask in the warm sun. It's as if all of our seasonal depression has dissipated. Hanging out with my roommates in our chairs has now become one of my favorite things. Whether we're sitting in our chairs doing homework, chatting with each other, or just enjoying the silence, we have loved every second of it. We're actually sitting in our chairs as I currently write this.

I'm glad we waited so long to get our outside chairs because I think waiting to make our purchase made us appreciate it even more. Now we can enjoy the beautiful weather this week from the comfort of our own chairs!
